Q
blizzard,
liked it,to me it seems that 'she' represents the hopes, emotions and dilemmas of all womankind, and ,thus is not just a person, but an abstraction of womanhood,
Q
dear Sunkan,
very well put fwd commonsense issues, which ,are generally uncommon.I'm certain that your post will be of use to many
Q
Pashupati,
this is an excellent post. It's a very well documented observations of inter cultural business and emotional interaction. The axioms are noteworthy.

Q
dear pbs,
I don't think that its a quest for immoratality that spurs a man to take part in xtreme sports ,or, to achieve.I guess ,it is more about proving something,in 9 times out of 10 ,to yourself.
Maybem the monument builders may court immortality, but its rather funny, that most start of those projects as memorials for someone else(mostly, though there have been a lot of pretty self absorbed individuals in human history)
To put forward an analogy,I feel that when one plays Golf, does rock climbing, skydiving or whitewater rafting etc, the first challenge is self..because if you cannot win over the Self, you can never play the game,
Now,if the Self or the soul is immortal..then maybe it is the quest for immoratality..and if it isn't then its only about self
Q
dear sups,
yess! This is good.Meaningful,positive ,uplifting
I'm glad I read it at the begining of daybreak
Q
dear scribbles,
yes indeed ,though a best seller,at times I have felt as if it were a patchwork of thoughts from all over.
You may like to read " I bought the Monks Ferrari". I don't remeber the author off hand ,but ,I'd found the book interesting in giving the alternate view..hunger for success.. desire..but rooted in the fact that individuals generally go for moksha ,only after having enjoyed the sweets of life on earth in plenty
Q
Excellent, especially the last stanza,so true, and the best recognition of a great Soldier's life
Q
Life in the army.
BMW,
send it to the infantry journal, pressed for time ,will comment again at leisure, cheers to sakha
and you
