I logged on to sulekha five days ago ,and, to my surprise, frustration and horror ,realised that I was unable to reply to any note, comment, post comments or blog. So, I tried what any blue blooded blogger would.. contact the sulekha team..but I'm still waiting.
So,how am I here again..ingenuity,no yaar, I changed my browser for I realised that my inability to reply to comments or worse still to read good write ups and be forced to stay voiceless was something I was not going to take lying down.
I had come across "why we blog" in my travels, and it is now after being unable to communicate for five days that I realise that,we blog because we wish to express our emotions, thoughts or views couched in poetry, short story or creative pieces.
Language is that one unifying expedient that allows us to establish a rapport with our fellow beings and without the ability of expression we are reduced to being islands forever seperated from the continent of humanity and destined to stand on the shore without experiencing what the ocean has to offer.
The past five days have very forcefully brought another fact to my notice..verily that ,those unlucky enough not to have a voice, figuratively and actually ,must be living their lives in agony.FIVE days ,when I could not speak to all my friends, pale in comparision to those who spend their lives in silence....
The agony of not being part of this pulsating stream of ideas that is named Sulekha was a frustrating experiance,I wonder how do those who are voiceless, face a life of imposed silence each day? I don't know if I can do something of import to help, but, empathise henceforth I certainly shall..
For Muted in agony is a fate not to be wished for your worst enemy!!
PS: dear Neha ,could you help me get my old browser back?
