ARE SPIDERS PEOPLE TOO?
He has been around for the past ten days precisely.Small,beady eyed, of a patchy brown and grey hue;a little skittish in disposition and given to weaving his web right above my writing table.Luckily for him,we met just after I'd finished watching Nat Geo or he would have been flicked away or squashed to oblivion.Anyway, I decided to let him be!
He is a rather curious chap,spends most of his day lurking on one of the ends of his web;ignoring any unfortunate fly that might blunder into his trap,but come evening,and he is transformed into a veritable tiger.Prawling across the web,repairing any damages,actual or imagined,periodically spinning down on a single gossamer strand to study me with a glint in his beady eyes- that seem to suggest ..
" umm ,what a lovely dino sized snack this one would make!!
He is also a pretty good predator! Yesterday, I watched a mosquito bloated up most likely on my blood , blunder into his web. He was upon him in a flash;wrestling and subduing him in no time at all !!
His little jaws worked furiously and in less than 30 seconds he had him wrapped up in a silver cocoon ,and with great agility hauled him up to a corner,to hang.This corner ,I presume is his larder!
Skittering back to the centre of his web,he meditatively flicked his forearms(??) and then conducted a few sundry repairs to the web. After a while, he shimmied down on his self made elevator to my eye level.. doing nothing in particular..just gazing at me. perhaps he wanted me to comment or congratulate him for his skills as a hunter? Well, I told him that was great and with that he boarded his silken lift and was up and away!!
I wonder whether spiders study us in the same way as we do them? I wonder whether they have a Spidey TV with a Spidey version of Nat Geo? Is it posssible that in their parallel universe they have their version of the internet? After all ,the World Wide Web owes it's name to them!!
AND if they do!! Then .. do they spidey blog about us? Perhaps a post titled "ARE PEOPLE SPIDERS TOO?" on SPIDEYLEKHA.COM !!

hey a kindered spirit hmm I ike that.. I find yours mysterious in the sense that maybe you are sitting and analysing why does Q write what he does and what does it have to do with sex ,,as thats what freudian analysis was/is about
ok now why did I assume that he is a "he"..well the bugger is a glutton ,he is into the food - food mode to the exclusion of all other pursuits,
then is the brooding look a la Bachaan ..angry young man etc ..
plus he spends most of his time doing nothing...
haven't come across any babe with these characteristics ..hence QED
as for parallelism .. I prefer horizontalism ,,. but what to do got to do something

dear usha,
as for the movie session spidey and i work on different time levels..my DVD time is his meal time and believe me ..he is a pretty focussed codger when it comes to his meals

and haven't you heard that all guys who suffer from the forty plus syndrome either talk to themselves or objects who can't talk back

Really dunno what drew me into this blog. i am MORTALLY scared of spiders & hate (!!!) these creepy crawly hairy (and non-hairy) things. I slowly scrolled your blog down to see if you had posted any pictue . Phew !! No pictures and I boldly started reading this. Good humourous stuff !! really enjoyed ! Think, you should get a Spiderman DVD and play it for your friend...Mmmmmm Talking to spiders ! What next ?( just check once in a while whether your legs are multiplying !! Ha Ha Ha )

The Spidey Blog would read something like...
you people spend your lives spinning webs of deceit, playing psychological games of one-up-manship, treating others as pawns, putting them down, playing with them maliciously to our own ends..
We spiders are doomed to live our lives this way - yet you humans though imbued with the capacity to reason often exhibit cannibalistic tendencies (which we usually don't - except for crimes of passion - which are on display 24X7 on various news channels ad nauseum...)
We have some role to play in the cycle of nature yet you humans break all rules & have slowly been working towards leading the world to extinction (exhausting natural resources & disturbing the ecological equilibrium)
