Can't remember when I last cried,
Losing friends and family alike,
Moments treasured,
friendships remembered,
Tough times and challenges weathered,
Fun,frolic and laughter shared,
Some left in a blaze of glory,
Torn apart by bullets gory,
Others went with the tide of time,
All to meet their makers divine,
Often have I wondered...
Would time have altered its passage,
Would life have reshaped its dressage,
Could I have changed destiny's course,
Could I have altered God's discourse,
Myriad questions remain unanswered..
alongside cold ashes long scattered...
Everywhere I look,
Life is a new book,
Renewal is the new rythm,
Then why ,for me alone!
Sitting on this solitary stone,
Regret beats this constant rythm!!
If only,I could snatch back time,
If only,I could renew what was mine,
Perhaps,I should offer a deal,
This man too shall feel,
Unshed tears will no longer heel,
Their salty tang my lips shall feel,
Now ..Dear God,
Untwist the locks you have created,
Give me this day,
One chance to say goodbye,
One opportunity to rectify,
One moment for a shared cry,
Hereafter,
No burden shall be too great to bear,
For you redeem me..
The bondage of my..
Unshed Tears!

An extremely touching poem, though I am sorry that I do not have an eye for good poetry. I however share the feeling entirely. The past never leaves you, it is always lurking around you and catches you when you are least expecting or ready to tackle it.

I feel this way sometimes too. But I don't like to harp in the past, and dont always want things the way they used to be. Nice poem, next time please try and decrease the font so that one does not have to scroll down n all. LOL hope I can say that here in your comments section and all.
